Environment Restoration

 Hello people! I am back with the new blog and today's blog is about ecosystem restoration.  So let's start. 

What is basically ecosystem and ecosystem restoration? So to start off with , eco system is  a geographic area where plants, animals, and other organisms, as well as weather and landscape, work together to form a bubble of life. Containing both biotic parts and abiotic factors . Whereas ecosystem restoration can be  defined as “a process of reversing the degradation of ecosystems, such as landscapes, lakes and oceans to regain their ecological functionality; in other words, to improve the productivity and capacity of ecosystem and to meet the needs of society. Now the question is that how can we restore the ecosystem? So there are many ways in which restoration ca be practiced for  example: 1. through actively planting or by removing pressures so that nature can recover on its own. In fact, restoration can help us achieve all of the Sustainable Development Goals. A case study shows that now and in 2030, the restoration of 350 million hectares of degraded terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems could generate US$9(₹600 trillion approximately in Indian rupees) trillion in ecosystem services. Restoration could also remove 13 to 26 gigatons of greenhouse gases from the atmosphere. The economic benefits of such interventions exceed nine times the cost of investment, whereas inaction is at least three times more costly than ecosystem. Now when we have discussed about ecosystem restoration, what is the objective for doing this? Firstly, Restoring ecosystems large and small protects and improves the livelihoods of people who depends on it. It also helps to regulate disease and reduce the risk of natural disasters. In fact, restoration can help us achieve all of the Sustainable Development Goals. Secondly it Enhances global, regional, national and local commitments to help prevent, halt and reverse ecosystem degradation. And lastly The aim is to increase the area of healthy ecosystems and reduce environmental degradation. These were the reason behind restoration ecosystem.

 So, to conclude, There is a need for agricultural land and infrastructure on land that was once a forest. Restoration of ecosystems, such as societies need to adapt to the changing climate. With such understanding and contribution there will be no harm to any animal, plant and human life. By doing this our earth will always be safe for all.
